In depth

Verdict

A tough race for punters to call here with very little between many of the leading lights but something has to win and the main protagonists look to be Wednesday Country, Moor Spirit and Ever So Slightly and the narrow vote is given to Wednesdays Country. The selection won well last time out when defeating Sarahs Gift and although rising in the weights he looks progressive and under similar conditions here he is taken to defy the handicapper. Moor Spirit rates the main danger on his latest second behind Barton Sun but he may need the run after a 151 day break and he looks vulnerable under top weight. Ever So Slightly is another that could go well. He disappointed last time out but he looks sure to appreciate the return to this faster ground and could go well at a price. Alam is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he keeps rising in the weights for getting beat and is taken on with this in mind. Whatcanyasay has conditions to suit but now looks weighted up to his best while. High Life is from a yard in top form but is not the bravest at his fences and for the winner we return to Wednesdays Country who won well last time out.
