In depth

Verdict

Haafapiece won on his debut at Kempton but pulled too hard when beaten at Huntingdon. Country'n'western at Carlisle back in 2015 but hasn’t raced since. INFINITE SUN beat the useful Western Ryder here in November but never figured when behind that rival in a Listed race at Newbury subsequently. If back on song, Fergal O’Brien’s gelding looks the one to beat. Cloth Cap was expected to do better at Chepstow earlier this month but still has time on his side and the Presenting gelding Peculiar Places is worth a market check.
