Verdict
Good Tack, Goat Castle and Swing State make the shortlist here with GOOD TACK from Richard Fahey's in form camp, taken to make a winning bow. Swing State has the benefit of experience over his two rivals, having finished third in a point to point. Don Cantillon has only had the odd runner recently so the form of the yard is hard to assess, but he is the third foal from the dam, and he already has a winning hurdler half-brother. Nigel Twiston-Davies introduces Goat Castle, the fifth foal of a dam who was placed on the Flat. None of the previous four foals have won, though the yard did have the runner-up in a similar contest at Perth on Thursday. Good Tack is a half-brother to several winners, including the Japan Cup winner Alkaased, and comes from a yard that has had winners on the Flat and over hurdles this week. Good Tack looks an exciting recruit to this sphere and can make a winning bow.
