Verdict
TAYMAN, Salhood and Bermuda Pointe form our short-list here with Carl Llewellyn's runner getting the call. He's one of the least experienced chasers in the field having only made his debut in this sphere twenty one days ago. He jumped well in the main at Fontwell and stayed on encouragingly enough from off the pace to believe that he can be a factor here whilst he's entitled to come on for the run and the experience. Bermuda Pointe's efforts last season were a bit of a mixed bag but the yard's horses are usually very forward at this stage of the season as this gelding showed when running out a ready winner last October. He's a good bit higher in the weights this time around but this may be the time to catch him. Salhood knows his way around here having paid fifteen visits to the track and whilst he has only won one of them he has made the frame a further six times. He showed signs of returning to form last time and looks booked for a place but Tayman appeals as a likelier winner.
