Verdict

FOREVER DES LONG won a conditionals’ handicap over the course and distance last week and escapes a penalty. He looked to have a bit in hand that day and can complete a quick double. Wolfspear made a successful debut in a Huntingdon bumper on good ground and his three runs over timber have been in softer conditions. Monfass last won in 2017 but has dropped in the weights accordingly and only just failed to overhaul Jamil at Newcastle. Mawlood, who won twice over hurdles last year, has been chasing without much luck and has changed trainers while Presenting Pete found soft ground against him at Huntingdon. Infiniti, runner-up on good going here in December, was well supported at Uttoxeter later that month but couldn’t handle heavy conditions.
