In depth

Verdict

Tobaco started favourite on his debut at Jebel Ali a fortnight ago but missed the break before staying on strongly. The extra furlong will suit and he looks comfortably best of those with experience as Brabbham ran a shocker at Sharjah. The latter is likely to do better but there are a couple of very smartly-bred newcomers engaged and one of them could make a successful start. Jununee cost 340,000gns and is by Galileo and a half-brother to two decent winners. Mike De Kock should have him ready but Charlie Appleby will want to get off to a winning start on his return to Dubai and BLUE CREEK fits the bill. He's by Street Cry out of the brilliant triple Group 1 winner Blue Bunting and this could prove the first step on the way to the classics here.
