        Verdict

        Stormardal is in tremendous form and won a slightly lower-class handicap over the track and trip a month ago in impressive style for which an 8lb rise shouldn't cause too much of a problem. Sharpalo is up 4lb for his victory at Jebel Ali but will be difficult to keep out of the frame though the vote goes to HEAVY METAL. The former Mark Johnston-trained six-year-old has won eight of his 44 races including a stronger handicap than this in February of last year. He reappeared with a cracking effort two weeks ago and can go one better. The three-year-old Town's History won twice for Godolphin in the UK and shouldn't be long earning his keep here while Active Spirit will have come on a bundle for his reappearance behind Stormardal and is expected to get much closer.
