    In depth

    Verdict

The Godolphin-owned and World Cup bound Frosted is a Dirt specialist in the USA having landed a Grade 1 at Aqueduct before placed in two Classics behind American Pharoah. If he's ready after finishing well beaten behind that winner in the Breeders' Cup Classic in October he should get into the frame. Stablemate Elnaawi has also proved himself on the surface though not at such a high level. Doug Watson and Pat Dobbs have been sweeping the board in recent weeks so Faulkner, who ran well when a close fourth behind Le Bernardin in Round 1 of this event, has to be considered and should do better than the stable's Layl. PRAYER FOR RELIEF is yet another import from the USA and is now with Mike De Kock. He also ran in Round 1 and produced an excellent performance to finish third so with race fitness guaranteed he's taken to gain his first success on the track.
