In depth

Verdict

Frankie Dettori is on board the consistent ex-French CARTEL, who will be having his first run in Dubai but could be a blot on this handicap as Godolphin are represented by the useful pair Les Troyens and Alaasifh and presumably Frankie could have chosen either. Firestreak was having his first start for a year when runner-up to Russian Rock over 6f here a couple of weeks ago and has no problems with the longer trip, while Finjaan has generally performed at a higher level and will be better for a couple of recent runs. Angel's Pursuit is a decent performer at this level and warmed up with a victory on Dundalk's Polytrack - he could provide the main threat under Craig Williams.
