          Verdict

          The Seemar yard has four entries with the champion jockey on board Al Maroom, a winner here and whose two recent runs should have brought him to concert pitch. He was close behind Scabbard when Doug Watson's charge won here a year ago though the latter's stable may have a better chance with MAYAADEEN who has returned to action in cracking form at Jebel Ali. The latter was conceding 11lb when runner-up to Tolmount there and can reverse the form on these terms. Canny Fettle won twice for Roger Varian at Newcastle while Falsehood looked an improved performer when landing a handicap here in November. Triple Venture was given a fine ride by Ray Dawson to score over 7f last month but is 6lb higher over this extra furlong. Barq Al Emarat was impressive in a 7f maiden but this is tougher and Onda Ruggente runs here for the first time.
