        Verdict

        HEAVY METAL won this by over 6l from today's rival Ross last year and arrives in blistering form having demolished a Group 3 field last month. He's drawn widest of all this time but his early pace should see him gain a lead that he's unlikely to relinquish. The runner-up should now be at his peak after his two runs in handicaps and he can get closer from his inside berth but Kimbear will need to do very much better than he did when beaten 7l by Raven's Corner last month. Daily Bulletin, a dual winner for John Gosden, was quietly fancied against the selection in December after a very impressive debut at Jebel Ali but didn't run anywhere near expectations and should do better. Dream Castle tackles the surface for the first time and would have to be respected on his close third to Jungle Cat in the Group 2 Al Fahidi Fort.
