In depth

Verdict

The veteran Caspian Prince usually enjoys himself here and showed he was no back number with a fine run behind Equitorial three weeks ago when he had Fanaar just behind. However, Mutaraffa finished runner-up that day and Dane O'Neill takes over on the lightly-raced son of Acclamation who looks certain to give a good account again. STORY OF LIGHT ran two very good races over longer trips here last winter. He looks the type who will be capable of going through the grades, starting from what may prove to be a very lenient mark. Lavaspin landed a non-Carnival handicap in November but hasn't been able to replicate that performance in two subsequent starts.
