        Verdict

        This is a Listed event and official ratings point to a solid chance for DRUNKEN SAILOR, who looked in need of the outing behind Whispering Gallery last month. Luca Cumani's charge finished behind Opinion Poll on that occasion and the latter is another who will have come on for the run. Drunken Sailor only had a nose to spare over Bergo off level weights at Goodwood last summer and Gary Moore's charge will be primed for a big run. Star Empire looks a promising stayer and was brought with a perfectly timed challenge to catch Calvados Blue over 1m4f two weeks ago. There's no reason why he shouldn't stay this far while Pompeyano always performs with credit at this level and could be the beneficiary if it becomes a tactical battle.
