Verdict
Reem beat her stablemate MAHBOOBA in the UAE 1000 Guineas Trial here a year ago but was receiving 7lb and the positions were emphatically reversed in the classic. The latter gained a very comfortable victory on her return here a couple of weeks ago and will take some beating. First City is a classy miler but doesn't win often enough, though she's generally competed at a very high level including when a close third in the Group 1 Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket. She hasn't run since September nor has Rhythm Of Light, one of last year's most progressive fillies who ended her campaign with a fine second in a Group 2 in Turkey won by the top-class Vanjura. Soorah landed a Listed contest at Ascot in July but will need to step up on that against these rivals.
