In depth

Verdict

EQUILATERAL (NAP), a Listed winner at Doncaster in September, had no problems getting off the mark in a Listed handicap a month ago and this doesn't look much tougher. He had Waady, who was receiving 5lb, 2 lengths behind and the latter is no better off having landed a strong handicap subsequently. Mazzini, a multiple winner in the UK, completed a double on this track at this time a year ago before being put in his place by Blue Point at a much higher level. Blitzkrieg has taken time to find his USA form but did a bit better last time while Ayr Gold Cup winner Angel Alexander will have come on for his run a couple of weeks ago and is no forlorn hope.
