Verdict

It's a surprise that SURFER is still a maiden but that should be put right here. The former Godolphin colt looks in a completely different class to these rivals having arrived in Dubai a year ago and produced four very good runs on Tapeta including a second to Mickdaam in a Listed event in March. A high draw won't help but it's difficult to see what can challenge him. Blue Sea is very much the unknown of the race having run three times on testing ground in France in the summer. The son of Singspiel should do well here this winter and he has a slight fitness advantage over the selection. The well-bred Interpret made a promising start to his career at the first meeting a fortnight ago when overcoming a shoddy start to stay on into second behind Dubai Iconic. He'll be sharper for the run and should run into a place at least while Midnight Moon is held on that run.
