      In depth

      Verdict

DUBAI FUTURE won this a year ago, beating stable companion Volcanic Sky just over a length when conceding 3lb with another from the yard, Global Heat, a further length behind. He has an extra 3lb here but is fit from a very easy 1m4f Listed success a couple of weeks ago and looks the one to beat. The placed horses from last year subsequently fought out the finish of a Group 3 over the track and trip and the winner scored at Newmarket in August though may just need this. Kemari, another for Godolphin, looked a very progressive stayer when landing the Queen's Vase on fast going before beaten less than a length in a Longchamp Group 2 on testing ground so he's an obvious threat and looks better than stable companion Siskany at this stage.
