        Verdict

        A chance is taken with LIGHT THE LIGHTS, who didn't take to Dirt last time but won a similar handicap to this a year ago and is only 1lb higher. His stable companion Astronomer, four-times a winner for Aidan O'Brien and runner-up in the lucrative Old Rowley Handicap at Newmarket, should be making his mark soon while Team Talk ran well behind the in-form Dream Castle on his first start for ten months. The latter looks a threat as does Euginio, who wasn't far behind in that contest while Oasis Charm looked a fine prospect when completing a double in the spring though a long absence is a concern. Silent Attack wasn't suited by the slow early pace on his return after a long break and can do much better as can Earnshaw, who couldn't find the extra pace needed in a race that turned into a sprint last time.
