Verdict
Strong Glance went close at Hereford three weeks ago and his only win over hurdles came around this time last year, though he remains 8lb higher. Kavanaghs Cross only won a maiden at Kelso but that victory was certainly overdue and should have boosted his confidence. Back over his best trip and eased in grade, Stoner’s Choice has also slipped down the ratings and must have a good chance of picking up the winning thread again but GEROMINO went very close to completing a four-timer at Doncaster, despite another 7lb rise, and looks the more progressive. Ashington could also figure after a pipe-opener on the all-weather.
