In depth

Verdict

Jedward was fancied at Goodwood on Tuesday but never figured and found Midnight Dynamo too good at Ayr before that. The latter won this last year off a much lower mark. Red Baron carries a penalty for his recent win over track and trip and June's Carlisle winner Avon Breeze was beaten a length when third in this grade at Newmarket last time. The in-form Oil Strike is upped in class but was engaged to run at Nottingham yesterday so a chance is taken on MAYOMAN returning to his best. The latter is back on the same mark as when scoring at Ayr last summer and should be raring to go now with a couple of outings in June under his belt.
