Verdict

La Bacouetteuse is not easily discounted racing off a lower mark than when winning last year's renewal. DISCAY won at Beverley before finding the competition too hot in a higher grade handicap at Newcastle. Back down in class today, Mark Johnston's charge gets the nod. Valantino Oyster is also a recent winner at Beverley where he beat Dean Iarracht a neck in a seller but last month's winner at Ayr, Grand Diamond, makes more appeal. Recent Tramore winner Lindenhurst was engaged to run at Hamilton yesterday.
