Verdict

Cresswell Legend just got the better of Stamp Your Feet over 3m here on New Year’s Day to land the hat-trick. The latter re-opposes on slightly better terms while Jump For Dough has been raised 7lb for winning here more recently though it was soft ground on that occasion. Beeves was in fine form over fences last summer and returns to action off a lower mark back over hurdles while Calett Mad drops in class having faced tough tasks in Grade 2 contests recently. CONNETABLE failed to win last year but slid down the weights as a consequence. He wasn’t suited by the drop back in distance last time but was beaten only a neck over 3m at Sandown before that and Paul Nicholls’ charge gets another chance today. 3.45
