    Verdict

Bonny Rose gets the nod in this average maiden ahead of Mangham. The selection has finished a runner-up on all three of his starts to date but his attitude has not been called into question. He should be suited by the step up in trip today and he can reward those punters who keep the faith. Fandangerina hasn't set the world alight so far and may be seen to better effect next year, so it could be that Chanteuse De Rue, a stablemate of the selection is a more eminent danger. He showed little on debut but should be wiser today over this longer trip. Eternal Optimist is exposed, so Mangham looks the main danger. Bryan Smart's charge didn't seem to improve from first to second runs however it may be too early to write him off. A weak-looking maiden, and Bonny Rose looks the one to be on.
