Verdict

BEES RIVER is well in at the weights and can land this, being selected ahead of Visterre and Oasis Breeze. The Jarvis runner is getting the hang of the game with a couple of seconds in her most recent outings. She'll be comfortable if it's soft underfoot, especially having more than a stone in hand on the top two, who complete our shortlist. Visterre positively loves it round here, with three wins at the track from her last four outings. The only blip came at Beverley. Breeding suggests that in time she may want further than the minimum trip. Oasis Breeze returns to five furlongs after being disappointing over six, albeit in listed company. It's her third run for Tim Easterby since a change of yard, and he thinks she could be a decent filly. She has to give weight away all round though, and a fair bit in some cases. So we'll swerve her this time, and go with Bees River. (Chris Cooper)
