Verdict
Half of this field were winners last time so this looks wide-open. Masarzain is in great form and easily beat Ellaal over course and distance nine days ago, though the runner-up is now 9lb better off. Lil Sophella was only fourth that day and looks held but EDGAR ALLAN POE, from last year’s winning stable, has been equally impressive lately and, after victories at Hamilton and Pontefract in July, can complete his hat-trick. Kicking The Can is just preferred to other recent winners Armagnac and Bernie's Boy but Argaki has been raised 2lb since his latest second at Hamilton.
