Verdict
A race which sees the old age brigade likely to head the market and punters must take note of the market with Fakima and we side with him versus The Nomad and Day Du Roy. Far from the most prolific of scorers, one from 29 is the sum total of Fakima's career strike rate. That one success was achieved only two months ago at Huntingdon over the smaller obstacles. One suspects this race could be career win number two. The Nomad has proved a terrific servant to the Mick Easterby yard over the years but one feels he could just be vulnerable to younger opponents. Day Du Roy and the relatively unexposed Great Jane are others to consider while Johnny Roche is an interesting recruit to fencing for the Johnson/Wylie team. Monitoring of the market is the main advice here and should the move come for Fakima, that should prove significant.
