Verdict

BUILDING BRIDGES, a winner on the Flat in Ireland, defied mistakes to win well at Huntingdon and there's more to come. He just gets the nod over Guena Des Mottes, who battled to a narrow victory at Fontainebleau in April with the remainder well beaten. He's an obvious threat to all while Balranald, who won on the Flat in France, led for a long way on his debut here last month. El Picador won on the level for the Stoute yard and made a promising start over timber here when Wakool was behind and both will improve for the experience.
