    Verdict

Torrid went close at Sedgefield only to disappoint back at the same track last time when beaten a long way in second. Chingachgook improves with every start but FOR THREE just missed out in a battle for the line at Carlisle a fortnight ago and James Ewart’s charge looks set to open his account on that evidence. Golden Wolf made a promising start over timber when runner-up here and is preferred to the more-exposed Dark Ruler while hurdles newcomer Native Fighter has won four times on the Flat and is worth noting.
