Verdict

NEW COLOURS finished runner-up here last Saturday. He drops down a couple of grades for this and jockey Kaine Wood has won three of these events so far this year. Surround Sound won at Wolverhampton for today's amateur earlier and went close at the same track last time while Simon Walker's presence on handicap debutant Moorsholm takes the eye. Geanie Mac goes well for an amateur and should be sharper for a pipe-opener at Hamilton last month.
