Verdict

Mangham had today's rival Law To Himself behind when scoring over C&D in July but has been beaten off today's mark the last twice, while the normally consistent On The Cusp was way below par at Hamilton last time. Carragold took a while to get off the mark, but was winning for the second time in three starts when scoring at Beverley last week and should be thereabouts again despite a penalty. However, a chance is taken on NICOLA'S DREAM. It's disappointing that she hasn't improved on her second to Namibian on soft ground at York last year but Richard Fahey's filly may finally get off the mark back on a similar surface for the first time since.
