WINGS OF SMOKE is well into the veteran stage but showed a glimpse of past glories when third at Lingfield last month on soft ground. He’s thrown in on his old form and has travelled up from South Wales for this so is probably worth an interest. Swing Hard is the likely pace angle and didn’t do much wrong on his belated reappearance at Haydock. Catterick second Tomorrow's Legend hasn’t raced over a trip this far in more than two years, however, while Nefyn Bay will need to jump better than he did at the same track on New Year’s Day. Rancher Lass’ victory here last month came over 3m but she looks the pick of the remainder.
