In depth

Verdict

MEATH ALL STAR can land the spoils at the expense of Gordonsville and Casual Affair. The selection was well punted ahead of a similar event at the course but was unable to deliver. This seems an ideal opportunity to recoup losses. Gordonsville's last run was a win over two miles on the flat at this course. Jim Goldie's recruits to the winter game have ran well thus far. Casual Affair often travels well in his races without finding anywhere near what is anticipated. Devil Water has not shown a lot under rules though is a winner between the flags. The remainder appear hard to fancy. Meath All Star matches up with our idea of the most likely winner.
