Verdict
Barraland is the selection ahead of Chivola and Our Sunnie. Mick Channon's charge met with some fair support in the ring when seen out at Lingfield and while the money wasn't landed that day, this looks a weaker affair and he can recoup losses. Chivola races off a lower mark on turf than on the all-weather. There aren't really a lot of races for him during the winter so that should go some way to explaining why we haven't seen him for some time. Our Sunnie did not show too much last year but he has been handicapped accordingly. He is related to winners at this age. Kinout drops in trip having been tried at further in the past. Paddyjack is still a maiden although he did shape with a degree of promise at the back end of last term and there is every chance he could have improved since. Andrasta and Miss Sunshine look outclassed. Barraland is making a long journey North for Mick Channon and the hint is accordingly taken.
