        Verdict

        Smiddy Hill is starting to look a very well handicapped horse and could bounce back to form here, Ashes and Princess Cleo look to be the obvious form dangers. Robin Bastiman's charge has three duck eggs to her name this season, but did put in a much improved effort last time out at Beverley when not too far behind Desert Opal. She was successful over course and distance last August off a three pound higher mark and so is very well treated. Ashes has to be a major threat having put in a solid run last time out behind Matteroffact. However she has been raised a pound and may just be in the handicappers grip. Princess Cleo struggled on the sodt ground last time out but a has a chance on her previous effort behind Sahara Silk. It is a pretty open affair with Rothesay Dancer and recent winner Miacarla also in with chances, however Smiddly Hill does look the pick of the weights and she gets our vote.
