Verdict

The Backup Plan seemed likely to land a hat-trick over these fences but fell at the last when clear of the field. He'll be looking to make amends if suffering no adverse effects but Chanceofa Lifetime looked beaten when coming a cropper at Kelso in his bid for a treble. Rear Admiral found one too good for the fourth time in succession when runner-up at Sedgefield recently and it could pay to stick with THROTHEHATCH (NAP) in this. The latter returned from a lay-off with a comfortable victory at Kelso and can defy a 9lb rise. Celestino finished second at Warwick on his chasing bow earlier in the year and could also go well.
