Verdict

Now back in form GRIMES FAITH looks well handicapped for the present and he can follow up his recent Ayr success, while Yungaburra, Lambency and Botham are others short listed. The Kevin Ryan-trained selection was running to a mark of 70 and being competitive on the polytrack earlier in the year, and dropped to 58 before winning last time. A 4lb rise is not insurmountable and as one who goes on a sound surface he will handle the ground well, so we'll side with him. Yungaburra handles both five and six furlongs well and was a winner over the latter trip at Wolverhampton last time. He too still has a chance on his old form off a mark of just 65 but the wins don't come too often. Raccoon is back on a handy mark and track, trip and ground all suit, so he can be bang there at the business end, while Jim Goldie's pair Lambency and Botham can both get competitive on going that suits. Grimes Faith is the one for us here.
