        Verdict

        Cowslip and Danceintothelight have won over hurdles this year but it remains to be seen if either can convey that improvement back to the Flat. Both are competing off potentially lenient marks and LA BACOUETTEUSE has returned to a winning mark having beaten Geanie Mac here in August on the second of last year's two victories over track and trip. Iain Jardine's charge should go close again and is also preferred to Jan Smuts, who was still beaten seven lengths when runner-up over 2m at Newcastle on his penultimate start.
