Verdict

DESERT ACE returned to winning ways at Beverley last time and has been raised 4lb. But he was winning off a higher mark last year and should go well again. Lomu is back on the same mark as when winning over 6f at Hamilton last year and is fitted with blinkers for the first time while Afandem scored at Nottingham last month but this is tougher. Economic Crisis won in soft going here last month and has subsequently finished in front of Boudica Bay and Pavers Pride at Catterick while Royal Brave drops in class having failed to win so far this year.
