Verdict

This race invariably throws up a few likely sorts for the season and there's British interest with Kool Kompany lining up from the Richard Hannon yard. A winner at Leicester and Windsor, he fully deserves to take his chance at Listed level. Aidan O'Brien won this race last year and he appears to have another likely sort with WAR ENVOY. The colt won on debut over C&D in taking fashion and he can follow up on this occasion. Dandyleekie has been mentioned as a possible Royal Ascot type by connections so the bookmakers won't be as dismissive as they were at Navan. Sors and Toscanini won't be maidens for too much longer while Intense Style has his fourth run inside a month having turned over an O'Brien hotpot at the Curragh last time out.
