Verdict

See Double You alternates between hurdles and fences and is a credit to connections, though his victories in the UK have come over much further than this. MIND THE PENNIES hasn't had much experience but has been steadily progressing and overcame a last-flight error to score at Gowran. He was a couple of lengths behind Res Ipsa Loquitur in the race won by Gentleman Duke at Ballinrobe but, though there's very little between them here, David Splaine's claim could just swing things his way. The veteran Sizing Australia, who is more likely to be found in a cross-country chase, will surely find some of these too quick and though Crowded Room is well handicapped on his chase form he's never been placed in eight starts over timber.
