Verdict

Dermot Weld's yard bounced into life on Saturday and YULONG GOLD FAIRY can add to the season's growing tally. She made great strides in her first season, culminating in an easy victory here, and showed she had trained on with a very good run in a Group 3 at Leopardstown. Lightening Quick made a successful debut at Leopardstown and was well supported when sent to Newmarket for the Group 2 Rockfel where she wasn't disgraced. The four-year-old Xenobia has won three of her last four though was well beaten when tackling Listed company while Broadway has shown little in two maidens. Dawn Delivers couldn't cope with Group company after her Curragh maiden victory though looks the type to do better this season.
