Verdict

This looks a tough one to call but the presence of ARGENTINO on a mark of 120 is tempting. Placed several times on the Flat in France, he took a couple of races to warm up over hurdles but looked a nice prospect when scoring at Clonmel and it will be a surprise if he doesn't turn out much better than his current rating. He's one of five last-time winners in the event and Peoples Park has to be a threat after his impressive victory at Navan with Luke Dempsey's claim a real bonus. Some Article was a surprise winner over a huge field of maidens at Punchestown and he's another on a tempting mark for his handicap debut though the biggest danger may come from Pink Coat. Sandra Hughes' grey landed a very tough handicap at Fairyhouse in November 2013 and was having his first subsequent start when catching the eye at Leopardstown in January. Follow The Sign and Horendus Hulabaloo, 1-2 at Gowran last time, are amongst others to note in a competitive heat.
