Verdict
This looks a good opportunity for TEELIN STAR to gain compensation for his early exit at Limerick. Pat Hughes' dual point-to-point winner and successful bumper started odds-on for his chasing debut last month but got in too close to the first fence and unseated Barry Geraghty. That was probably just a blip and hopefully he can recoup losses. The Westerner Boy will have plenty to offer over the coming season and though making mistakes on his chasing bow he should have learnt from the experience and will provide a threat. Texas Jack had him behind when making a winning racecourse debut in a Punchestown bumper and looks another exciting chasing prospect for Noel Meade while Grade 3 winning hurdler My Murphy should also be making his mark over the bigger obstacles.
