Verdict

Laverteen won a heavy-ground bumper at Navan and has shown up well in both starts over timber in similar conditions. NEXT DESTINATION won a point and a bumper before a close fourth in the championship bumper at Cheltenham. He was conceding a stone to the winner when beaten at Punchestown in April but can make a successful transition to hurdles. Pallasator, seven times a winner for Sir Mark Prescott, has transferred to Gordon Elliott and is an interesting debutant as is Paloma Blue, a bumper winner at Fairyhouse before runner-up in the championship event at Punchestown when Someday, who has had a run over hurdles subsequently, was well beaten. Sally Park has battled on resolutely to land bumpers at Navan and Cork and has a fitness advantage over his main rivals so has to be respected.
