In depth

Verdict

Lambro, a Grade 2 winner over hurdles, makes his chasing debut and everything points to him being at least as useful over fences but he faces a stiff task in what looks a very strong event. SHINROCK PADDY, a Grade 1 winner over timber, made his debut over fences in a Grade 3 at Punchestown. He jumped deliberately but needed the run and with that experience behind him will prove difficult to beat. Stonemaster, another classy performer over timber, has been odds-on for both starts over the bigger obstacles but supporters have had their fingers burnt. He's looked as though he could do better on both occasions but could just need further than this. Quietly Fancied, who was having his first run for two years in the latter of those two events at Punchestown, has plenty of potential and is expected to get much closer this time while Gran Torino was very highly tried in his three runs over fences last season.
