In depth

Verdict

Spanish Tenor had been beaten narrowly by Laughifuwant at the Galway Festival but reversed the form on soft ground at Listowel and a 5lb rise looks manageable. Cavallo Pazzo once again showed his liking for heavy ground when scoring over the trip at Down Royal but an 11lb rise makes this tougher. Verhoyen is a very smart handicapper on his day but will probably need the ground to dry out while Ado McGuinness is finding it difficult to get a race out of No More Porter, who has been beaten five times off this mark during the summer. SAN AER was in winning form on heavy ground at this time a year ago and will be 7lb lower with Jamie Powell's claim taken into account so gets the nod to bounce back.
