      In depth

      Verdict

Maarek landed a Listed contest first time back on this track in 2013 and was still racing at the highest level last season. Dinkum Diamond won six races for Henry Candy and makes his debut for new connections. He won't mind the conditions nor will the lightly-raced MIZAAH, whose only victory to date was on soft ground at the Curragh in May and who can take this with Gary Halpin's claim a bonus. Richard Fahey sends Tatlisu from Yorkshire and he's fit from the Flat but Sharliyna gained her debut success on fast going and may not have the experience to overcome a low draw. Ducky Mallon won big field handicaps at the Curragh and Navan last summer but has shot up the ratings as a consequence, a remark that also applies to course and distance winner St Brelades Bay.
