Verdict

A disappointing turnout for a nice prize. Hammersmith ran in a very tough nursery at the Curragh after scoring on quicker ground there and wasn't beaten far though the concession of 9lb, including Ben Coen's claim, to CHECK MY PULSE may prove beyond him. Andrew Slattery's colt was always in the firing-line and stayed on strongly to score at Listowel and can go in again. Cedars Of Lebanon has been well beaten in a claimer and nurseries since landing a Bellewstown maiden but Compton's Finale was staying on over an extended 5f at Navan and there should be more to come.
