Verdict

If either of the John Oxx-trained pair Call To Battle or Zalantoun get a run from their reserve berths they must be noted as both produced promising debuts. Quote Of The Day made a fair start when staying on over 7f at Listowel but Dazzling Pearl has looked quite moderate so far and stablemate Diplomat may prove a better long-term proposition. Aidan O'Brien has won this four times in the past seven years and is triple-handed this time. Hail, Tower Rock and Warwick Avenue are all as beautifully-bred as each other but neither the market nor jockey arrangements have been having much affect on the outcome in similar events this season. WHILE YOU WAIT is the sixth foal of a mare who has already produced five winners and Jim Bolger's colt is taken to get off to a winning start in what should prove an informative contest.
