In depth

Verdict

Simply Beautiful could hardly have a better pedigree being by Galileo out of Group 1 winner Simply Perfect. She hasn't been punished in either race to date and should lose her maiden tag before long. Guinevere didn't make the expected progress at the Curragh after a promising reappearance at Leopardstown but Istoria ran really well at Cork where she would have been involved in the finish but for meeting trouble. Camphor finished runner-up in that latter event where she led into the straight only to be caught inside the last so she has an obvious chance but the vote goes to KISS FOR A JEWEL, who was returning from a long break when just run out of it by Kaftan over a mile at Naas and has a pedigree that shouts middle-distances.
